Why Join?

Membership supports the club's outreach programs, equipment library, and activities. All events are free and open to the public — membership is a way to give back and get a little more involved.

Member Benefits

Vote in club elections and help shape the club's direction
Serve as an officer or director
Borrow club resources and equipment — including telescopes and accessories
Support local astronomy outreach to schools and the community

Dues are prorated by quarter. If you join mid-year, you only pay for the remaining quarters of the year.

Community & Communication

Members are strongly encouraged to create a free account at HVAAstronomy.groups.io. All important announcements, event details, weather updates, and club news are posted to this group.

Community Impact

Outreach

One of the most rewarding parts of the club is sharing the night sky with young people. We've delivered classroom presentations and outdoor viewing sessions for fourth-graders at Adams and Hoover Elementary Schools, among others.

Kids have an inborn enthusiasm that gives a refreshing new perspective to everything above us. Their fundamental questions — "Why does light travel so fast?" — push us to think more deeply about the universe ourselves.
